It All Starts with YOUR FRONT DOOR!

FRONT-DOOR-HOME-STAGING2

Welcome to my first blog!  This starts the beginning of my new chapter–working with YOU to stage your home for a more profitable, quicker sale. Who wouldn’t want that?

My name is Patricia Fears Ruffner, and I am the owner of Your Front Door Home Staging, LLC.  I named my business Your Front Door Home Staging because this is where your home selling starts.  This is what the buyers see first when they arrive at your home.  And this is what resonated with me when I was throwing ideas around for the name of my business!

Home Staging is a relatively new niche in the real estate market and it is quickly becoming the norm, rather than the trend.  Twenty years ago, no-one worried about staging. As a post on the legal website NOLO.com points out: “Giving your home a good scrubbing and hiding the kitty litter was considered enough before putting out the ‘for sale’ sign.

Now, in this new media age, most buyers start the home buying process by looking at listings and pictures on the MLS online.  If the photos are not appealing, the buyers do not request a showing, and there goes another potential buyer for your home.  (According to a Google/National Association of Realtors (NAR) report  – 92% use the Internet during their home search.)

Yes, there is a cost for staging.  However, this fee should be considered an investment in the sale of your property.  The ROI is anywhere from 5-20%.  That’s more money in your pocket after the sale of your home.

  • Statistics show that a non-staged home is on the market 73% longer than a staged home.
  • non-staged homes sit on the market for an average of 90 days, staged homes are only on the market for an average of 11 days. In fact, 95 percent of staged homes sell in 11 days or less.
  • Staged homes sell for an average of 17 percent more than their non-staged counterparts.

From a quick consultation to a  full-scale staging project, I can help make your home into a showpiece  for the home sale listing.  I can do as much or as little as you want and/or need.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog.  And please, don’t be a stranger!  Reach out to me with questions or requests for appointments. Your pockets will be glad you did!
Cheers!
